Approval of the Engagement Letter from Arledge and Associates, P.C. to provide audit services of the City’s FY 18-19 Financial Statements; proposed fee of $79,000.
Background
An audit engagement letter providing auditing services of the COE’s FY 18-19 financial statements in accordance with U.S. generally accepted auditing standards has been submitted. Their previous agreement fee was for $75,800. The proposed fee for FY 18-19 audit services is $79,000.
Time Frame
Preliminary work will begin in August of 2019.
Issue
An annual audit is required by City Charter (Section 70) and State Law, consequently, approval of the proposed engagement letter from Arledge and Associates is necessary to move forward with the FY 18-19 external audit.
Recommendations
On May 15, 2019, the Finance Committee unanimously recommended approval.
