This partnership between the two communities for the joint operation of the Guthrie/Edmond Regional Airport (GEOPORT) in Guthrie is now in its fourteenth year. In June of 2014 the cities of Edmond and Guthrie renewed their agreement for another five years. This agreement provides that the two communities will equally share all operating expenditures. Edmond’s budget for fiscal year (FY) 18-19 provides for $200,000 for operating costs.
The City of Guthrie has invoiced us for the period of February 1, 2019 thru February 28, 2019 and March 1, 2019 thru March 31, 2019. Our portion of the matching dollars for operating expenses minus revenue is $25,255.18. These dollars go to help pay the daily operations of the airport. All operating costs are divided between the City of Edmond and the City of Guthrie equally. Expenses approved to date will leave a balance of $115,469.29 of the current $200,000 FY18-19 budget.
