Approval of Microsoft Enterprise Software Agreement from Software House International (SHI) for use by all Departments; $339,633.
In April 2013, City Council approved the initial Microsoft Enterprise Agreement. In April 2016, Council approved an amendment to the agreement. This is a renewal of the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement. We have added new user accounts, applications and our Microsoft SQL server/core count has been increasing. As the City is implementing a disaster recovery site and additional software, the City needs to increase its license capacity for Microsoft products.
This increased functionality including existing Microsoft licenses and SQL Licenses will cost $339,633 for each of the next three years.
The agreement can be canceled at any time and will be budgeted for one year at a time. It meets the growing needs of software licensing and information management at a reduced cost compared to implementing completely separate solutions to address these needs.
Upon approval to be paid annually.
In April 2013 City Council approved the initial Microsoft Enterprise Agreement. With renewing the agreement, the City will have continued access to its Windows Servers, Desktop operating systems and Microsoft 365. The City also needs to license SQL servers for applications currently being implemented as well as in the near future. This agreement also allows for the licensing of the City's Disaster Recovery Site.
